Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista and Carnelian Bay

Tahoe Vista is a beautiful area along the North Shore of Lake Tahoe and home to the The North Tahoe Regional Park offering ball fields, hiking and cross country ski trials, children's playground and sledding hill, BBQ and picnic area and dog park.   Kings Beach is located just north of Tahoe Vista about 2 miles. Kings Beach offers many shops and restaurants, golf course and a beautiful public beach. In 1860, Carnelian Bay was named for the semi-precious red and yellow stones peppering the shoreline. Carnelian Bay was a popular spot for boat racing and recreational boating in the 1930s and 1940s. Today, Carnelian Bay is an annual destination for wooden boat enthusiasts coming from around the country for a weekend of cruising with the Concours d’Elegance wooden boat show.
